Saturday, August 20 – Children’s Book Reading at The House (10:00 a.m.)
Join Billy Kahn at The House (632 Walnut) as he reads Leland Comes to Stay by Betsy Wagner.
 
After the reading, learn how you can become the next famous Columbus author. Topic of discovery is “Why you love Columbus”. Betsy Wagner will walk guests through the process of becoming a published author. More Info
Saturday, August 27 – Author Fest at the Stafford Opera House (10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Join CHPT, the Nesbitt Memorial Library, and the Columbus 200 Bicentennial Committee for Author Fest! Author Fest will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Buddy Rau Room at the 1886 Stafford Opera House.
 
Guests can meet several local authors, who will be selling and signing their books. All guests will be entered to win a door prize (must be present to win). Saturday, September 24 – Wild in the West: Cowboys, Cattle Barons, Lawmen, and Gunslingers (6:00 p.m.)

Columbus’ history is filled with incredible stories from the days when cowboys and outlaws roamed our streets. Join us for a fun-filled evening at the Stafford Opera House featuring a delicious BBQ meal catered by Mikeska’s BBQ, hilarious cowboy poets and Western writers, and a decadent dessert silent auction, all capped off with a viewing of City Slickers. A cash bar serving beer and wine will be available for guests throughout the evening. 

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the BBQ buffet will open at 6:00 p.m., and the evening’s entertainment will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased online or in the Chamber office during normal business hours. Purchase tickets here.
